About Lara.

I am passionate about helping clients achieve the best relationship they possibly can.  I particularly love working with clients who are motivated to do the work they need, to attain growth and change.

If you are looking for sensitivity, understanding and a sense of humour, I am an experienced specialist couples therapist who would be delighted to help.

I have been married to my husband for over 30 years, and our three adult sons have now flown the nest.  I have competed in a Hyrox competition and also have two dogs, who I enjoy walking and running.  I love to cook, and I am a late convert to gardening!

I am no stranger to challenges; undergoing successful cancer treatment, supporting my mother through Alzheimer’s, and helping one of my three sons recover from addiction have been profoundly difficult yet deeply formative, strengthening my resilience and compassion.

I am an Accredited Member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and a Registered Member of the College for Sex and Relationship Therapy (COSRT), abiding by their ethical frameworks. In line with this, I have regular supervision and I am very committed to my own professional development.  I hold professional indemnity insurance.
